We would like to change brown burl wood box (.jpg) image to green burl wood keeping the same texture.
Any advice?

My favorite techniqe is to use an adjustment layer with the color of choice, combined with a blend mode (like soft light, for example). The results vary, but that’s usually the first thing I try. You can then add another adjustment layer on top of it to adjust hue/sat/lightness.

There are a dozen ways to do this and the best way, really, depends on your familiarity with photoshop, the intent of the image, and it’s composition.

Select the box and create a layer mask.

Then add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer.

Tweak the sliders in the Hue/Sat dialogue as needed (without affecting the original).

When satisfied, flatten and resave.
