exact pixel positioning of a layer in Photoshop

Does anybody know how to find the exact pixel position of a layer/selection on a document. I know that the Info window displays the current position of the mouse, but I would love to be able to find the top, center and base pixels of each layer like Illustrator can display. Any help is much appreciated.

Control T. Look in the options bar. You’ll have to convert a background to a layer in order to do that though.

If it’s a selection, Select|Transform Selection – again, options bar.
