How to de-activate Photoshop CS

I currently use Photoshop on two computers, and also have upgraded several times. Just got a new computer and need to move all my software over to the new pc. Problem, though, is that I am having to start from the bottom up reinstalling. I need to de-activate the old CS so I can activate the new installation. Can’t quite find how to do that…

Anybody know how?

Steve, it’s under Help> Transfer Activation.

Oops, just saw that you were referring to PS CS. My response was for CS2. Deactivate/transfer activation wasn’t available with CS.

Just install it and try to activate. If it’s been quite some time since your last activation, you’ll likely encounter no difficulty whatsoever. If you are denied activation, call the phone number that will be displayed and explain the situation.

What Bob said. I had some strangeness on my PS box over the weekend. It caused both CS2 and my still-installed copy of CS to prompt for re-activation. I tried to re-activate over the net, but the servers were "unavailable." Called the toll-free, and got ’em both back. At least, Adobe heard us about having phone people around on a Sunday. (I think the guy I talked to was eating Fritos, but hey, it was Sunday. I don’t think that’s a bad thing.)

One of the all time truths – eating Fritos on a Sunday isn’t a bad thing, and if you have to work on Sunday, maybe even required.
