I had a perfectly operating PhotoShop 7 installation running on my Win 2000 (SP4). 512M RAM. NVidia graphics card. No hardware changes. I’ve been using in this config for yrs. Today I was doing some PShop work. I save my project and Updated my Reader to 7.0.5. After I rebooted PhotoShop would not open. It starts to, initializes, and then instead of it starting it just disappears. I’ve rebooted. Several times. I reinstalled to no avail. I uninstalled all Adobe products and reinstalled PhotoShop. It will not start up.

I see, I found that in the Knowledgebase.

Answer:
Hit CTRL+ALT+SHIFT on startup.
Photoshop will prompt you to Delete Preferences.
