Hi,

I’m getting mad to calibrate my monitors (a first step to match what I see with what I print).

I use Adobe Gamma but I cannot figure out how to allow it to upload two different profiles for my 2 monitors at start up.

Is it possible or shall I go for a specific software?

I can do calibration into my ATI Radeon 9600 for both Monitors, but reading around they suggest to avoid doing it with video cards.

Thank you for your help.

Regards
Alex

As far as I am aware, you can only profile one monitor.

What I did was: Profile the main monitor using Adobe Gamma, then adjust the second monitor (used for the tools) manually using the on-screen menu from the monitor’s front panel.

To achieve this I put up a test chart on both monitors to get as close a match as possible by eye.

Hope this helps.

Chris.

Hi,

Well, at least increases the level of suspect I had, that is, Adobe Gamma cannot profile the second monitor system at start up.

I hope to read from somebody else possible alternatives to calibrate both of them automatically, otherwise I may use the video card.

Thanks

It can if you have the hardware that supports independent monitor profiles. In a nutshell that means two video cards on a Windows box.

Sounds interesting Andrew. Two cards rather than one with dual output!

So do two versions of Gamma Loader have to run at startup?

Yes, I did imagine this…my video card is a dual head, so no chances.

Even products like ColorPLUS (from ColorVision) do not work on dual monitor if you don’t have two video cards.
Actually, I think the issue is that WXP does not support it.

I will continue my search on the internet…

Thanks

No, the same Gamma Loader will handle both profiles as long as you have them correctly assigned in Display Properties.

Hi,

Maybe, what I was thinking to do, is to calibrate the two monitors, then, the Primary gets the Gamma Loader at start up, while for the Secondary, there should be a chance to upload the saved profile on a manual way after having booted up?
