Ok, Here goes, Dual PIII 1 GHTZ., 1 gig Ram, Matrox video Card, 7200 RPM Raid 0, Win 2000 Pro Serv pack 4, 60% drive space availabile.

When I open a Photoshop file, it loads all the layers, but never opens the file in the program to be seen? It’s not corrupted! I’m able to burn to CD and load in fine on other computers. this happens with any file, Photoshop, jpg, It’s like it’s there but the file window is not.

I have uninstalled CS2, dfrag all drives, reinstalled, same problem. Then I uninstalled again, re-installed on a different drive, re-booting inbetween all Uninstalls and re-installs, still the same problem. What gives? HELP!!

You’re saying it loads the file but doesn’t display it, even though all the layers and other pallettes are showing document data? If that’s the case, there are two possibilities: either the image is minimized or the image window is off-screen. Alt-W (PS Windows menu) will list open images at the bottom; click on the one at issue to display it if it’s minimized. If that doesn’t fix things, try resetting pallette positions. And finally, if that doesn’t do it, try the standard remedy, trash your preferences (see the FAQ on this if you don’t know how.)
