Windows Arial font stopped working in Photoshop CS

I am here today because I am having the same problem as Patrick. However as soon as I select T and click, the "text engine cannot be initialized" message pop up disregard whatever font I choose. This happens in my new IBM T42 laptop using XP professional and HP laptop using XP Home. However, in my old laptop Dell Inspiron 4150, CS2 runs fine. Would anyone with new remedy help?

I’d think you would be thankful to be rid of that awful font!

Hi Renshi,
Do you mean that I should remove all style of Arial font and then CS’s text tool will work? I will try that one out. Thanks
