If I use photobridge to just change the metadata on my jpeg images (adding author and copyright info), will this recompress the image when I save it. In another words, am I losing image quality just be changing the metadata using photobridge. Thanks.

Not unless you actually OPEN and resave the image file itself.

I’d like to pass on the name of an excellent (unfortunately Windows only) metadata program. It’s called Pixvue, it’s free and can be found at www.pixvue.com You can simply right click on the file icon and add/edit metadata non-destructively to your pictures. We are talking IPTC/XMP (what Adobe uses) standards.

I can credit Sept 30th Photoshopnews.com for that bit of helpful info 🙂
