I have a CD with 100 preset actions. All are in .atn format for PS 6. How can I open these in PS6 and then make a pattern out of each?

How can I do the same with the preset actions that came with the PS 6 software?

Your question doesn’t make sense at "make a pattern out of each".

Actions, as you know, are automated routines involked either with a keystroke or via the Actions Palette. Patterns are something else entirely.

The official way, for lack of a better term, to load them, is to go to the actions palette, click the triangle in the right hand side of the palette tab and choose Load Actions…

For the Preset Actions, when you click the aforementioned triangle, you will see the defaults listed at the bottom of the menu. Click and play.

As far as making a pattern, <shrug> I have no idea what you mean, sorry.

Peace,
Tony

OK I get it. I can use the marquee to select an area then fill it rather than make a pattern to use with Edit and fill. Thank you.
