I am using PS CS2 on a Windows XP machine. I recently installed a new printer profile (for a Moab Entrada paper) in the Windows/system32/spool/drivers/color folder, and double-checked that it was there. I even restarted Windows. However, the new profile does not appear on the list of profiles in the drop down menu for Printer Profiles in the expanded Print with Preview screen. Therefore, I can’t use it for printing.

What do I need to do to get the new profile to appear in the list so I can use it to print?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Evelyn

You might make sure it has an .ICM extension . Also check your list very carefully because sometimes the internal and external profile names are not the same. That can confuse matters.
You can use the new Microsoft Color applet to look at both names in the profile. It’s got to be good for something ( cheap shot , I know, I’m not a Bill Gates fan ) .

The Color applet will tell you whether the profile is installed; just being in the folder may not be good enough. If it’s not installed, you can install it from the Color applet, or by right clicking on the profile in Windows Explorer and pick Install.
