Hi

i am producing images with an alpha channel in a 3d application. I wish to use photoshop to save these files in a format where they can be placed in Indesign and the alpha will be recognised as a mask. I have tried several formats, but the aplha information is not read.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Load the alpha channel as a selection (Select->Load Selection).

Save the alpha channel as a layer mask (Select->Save Selection). You may have to convert the background layer to a regular layer by double-clicking on it in the Layers palette first.

Save the image as a Photoshop (.psd) file.
