Used to be (at least in 7.01) that if you selected only PART of a layer and hit CTRL-T to free-transform it, only the selection would get transformed.

I just got CS2 and installed it, and realized that CTRL-T will affect the entire layer regardless of what’s selected or not. In other words, CTRL-T works the exact same way whether something is selected or not.

How do I select just part of a layer and stretch it out? It used to be easy. But now..?

This ng is only a mirror for the adobeforum and as such they cannot see your posts unless you post directly to the forum. That is why you may have been "ignored" Go to www.adobeforums.com and then down to the AdobePhotoshop/Illustrator>Win to view the forum directly, there you can join the forum for free and have your questions answered by the "real" experts.
