I still get shifts when using pic pkg in photoshp 7. the pkg goes lighter, cyan and flatter than the original even when printed on the same page.

Any Clues?

The shift is only on print? Are you using File|Print with Preview?

Because all it’s doing is resizing some images and putting them in one photshop image that you print like you do normally. It would be the same as opening them and resizing them yourself and dragging them over to the new image – there’s nothing really magic (that I know of) that happens.

Are you evaluting the color on screen at 100% in both cases: the Picture Package Image v. Original?

Peace,
Tony

It shows only in the print, If I have an original 8×10 and want to add 2 5x and some wallets they look different from the original 8×10. It has baffled me.

I don’t think it looks different on the screen

2 thoughts:

1) are you setting the resolution on the Picture Package dialog to be the same as the original image?

2) the output of PP has 2 layers – have you tried flattening before printing?

I keep the Resolution the same all the way thru, all pkgs are flattened before saving.

There is a only a one point shift on the screen in the Red number so nothing significant. I will run a test print today and see if the printer is still doing it.
