I’m using a canon rebel digital with a sandisk 512 ultra2 card and a sandisk reader and photoshop 7. I can get photoshop to import the image but it’s just all static. Also I don’t know what parematers to enter when it askes what the image info is. Anyone out there can un-complicate this for me or tell me of a image convertor?

What format are the images in? Can you transfer directly from the camera to your computer’s HDD?

Other thoughts, this camera ships with Elements 2. Do you have any problems opening the CRW files with this program. PS7 doesn’t support CRW files natively, so you may need to use another program to convert to a format recognized by PS7. Have you considered an upgrade to PS CS2?

I bought the camara used from a friend, so no software. Also I have elements 2, so I downloaded the ‘raw’ pluggin from adobe and both ps7 and elements2 say the pluggin is not compatable! I’m gonna have to get cs2 and try it.

If you’re using Windows you could also give RawShooterEssentials a try which is free of charge.

http://www.pixmantec.com/products/rawshooter.asp

This will process RAW images from the Digital Rebel XT/350D and turn them into jpg/tiff files that PSE can work with.

Give ZoomBrowser EX a try. It is the program that Canon distribute with the EOS 300D, and you can download it here –
http://software.canon-europe.com/Cameras/SLR_Cameras/EOS_300 D10037.asp

The (latest version) file you want is number ( 7. ZoomBrowser EX Updater (EN) (5.5) on the above page.

Good Luck

Thanks, but I bought the camara used and don’t have any of the original software. I’m reading that to use zoombrowser I must have the original installed. I’m looking for that right now. Thanks for the tip! Nick

Try RawShooter’s Essentials . . . it’s free and works with just about any Raw file. I don’t know the URL, just Google it.
