After years of booting up Photoshop 5.0.2 with no problems, all of a sudden this evening I got the error message:

"Adobe Photoshop – Ordinal Not Found
The ordinal 322 could not be located in the dynamic link library SPROF32.dll.
[OK] "

Then after clicking OK, I got:

"Adobe Photoshop
Could not initiate Photoshop because of program error.
[OK] "

Then the program closed.

I tracked down the file SPROF32.dll and restored a copy of it from my back up drive, but that did nothing to cure the problem of Photoshop shutting down shortly after I tried to boot it up.

Then I reinstalled both Photoshop 5.0 and the 5.0.2 Updater that I had downloaded from the Adobe Web site. This allows me to use Photoshop, but the first error message keeps appearing shortly after I boot up. It then goes away, but it is still an annoyance, and it may possibly lead to other problems.

Any ideas on how to stop this pesky error message from showing up each time I boot up Photoshop?

Thanks in advance.
