Usually I make GIF’s transparent in my web editor and there is usually no problem but once in (like today) a while a white halo remains. I have used Photoshop (or was it ImageReady) to make GIF’s transparent but for the life of me, I can’t remember how. Do any of you? I have version CS2.

Save for the Web (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+S) and choose for GIF and make sure the option "Transparency" is checked.

Save for web sometimes has an issue. A more guaranteed method is to select "Save As" and choose ‘Compuserve GIF’ this will remove the halo.
