Transferring psd files from Macintosh to PC

My daughter uses a Mac at college and a PC at home. She has the same version of Photoshop on both: 2.0 You would think .psd files would transfer but they don’t. What is the the technique, if any, to transfer these files?

Photoshop version 2.0 ? Do you mean Elements V 2 ?

Getting some files from a Mac to a PC or PC to a Mac can sometimes be a challenge. Tif files will sometimes work when nothing else does. Maybe you can try that. Have you tried getting any other types of files to transfer like Jpeg? You may have some other problems that aren’t Photoshop related.

Macs don’t add a file type suffix ".PSD" to the file name.

I have clients who send me MAC .jpg files and I have to tell them to rename the files with the file type suffix ie: .PSD, .TIF, JPG

You can tell Photoshop on the Mac to add the extensions. I would think you can tell Photoshop Elements too, but I don’t know. Of course, adding the extension manually isn’t hard either.
