Hi, I’m trying to run Photoshop CS2 on Windows XP (Media Cente Edition). Up until a few days ago, Photoshop would load without an problems. Now, however, it will start up as usual until the start-u screen gets to "Initializing AGM…" and the program will freeze an can’t even be closed going in Task Manager. I have not done really don anything new in the last few days, and have already tried reinstallin Photoshop and rebooting many times. I’m at a complete loss as to wha the problem is, so if anyone here could offer some insight, I’d reall apreciate it.

Thanks for any help in advance

Temoshi,

A search for what you describe brought up the following from another "sufferer" Does any of it apply in your case?

"I had this exact same problem, but I found this out. I know this help with Norton, if you are running it. Not sure if will help with other antivirus apps.
Follow this :-
Prior to performing the steps below CS2 would not open and would always freeze at Initializing AGM"

I opened the main screen for Norton Internet Security 2005 and performed the following:

SELECT Personal Firewall
SELECT Configure
SELECT Programs
SELECT Program Scan

I selected ADOBE PHOTOSHOP from the list of programs and changed INTERNET ACCESS from Automatic to PERMIT ALL

CS2 now launches and runs without any problems
Hope this helps" unquote
