In 7.0 and earlier versions of pshop you could CTRL click an object in your graphic and it would automatically select that object’s layer. I’m not talking about CTRL clicking in the layer’s panel, I’m talking about CTRL clicking the actual object itself. This no longer works in CS2. It would be inept of Adobe to remove this functionality, so they must have replaced it with a different hotkey combo, though I can’t figure out what that new combo would be. So can someone help me out here and instruct me how to select individual layered objects in the graphic itself, like you used to be able to do with CTRL click?
I’m a little concerned that searching this newsgroup only yielded instructions for how to select layers in the layers panel itself. Very, very cumbersome when you want to select a single object in a graphic with dozens or more layers. Why would I have to resort to scrolling through all those layers to select an object when I could instantly CTRL click it on the screen? Surely this is not the case I hope!
