We have a system that generates PDFs online using PDFLib. Every once in a while it generates some that our designers can’t open in their PhotoShop CS2’s in Windows XP.
But I can in PhotoShop 7 on Linux just fine.
When they try to open them, they instantly get a "program error" and it fails to open. Sometimes the same file will error with code = 0x40010005.
If it makes a difference, when I open in it 7, it takes a LONG time to open, saying it’s rasterizing. But eventually opens fine.
I’ve checked the CS2 users’ properties, and their scratch disks have ample GB’s of free space, and the allocated RAM are in excess of 700MB.
Any suggestions on what to check, or look into, or do?
Thanks for any help!
