There is nothing new about that. It is all part of the activation technology. As for the license being changed that is also nothing new. There have been clauses like that in license agreements for software for a long time.

Now this all being said activation is crap and Adobe has done things that I think are far worse however. Like the crap with scanning money, etc.

In the end one has to decide if this is all worth it. Photoshop CS has some nice the features for once. On the other had it has something’s that can drive one to kill. Like the Filter Gallery, which can be nice but is lacking too many features. Has a dialog box that is way too big and one should be able to access the filters old interface when one chooses the filter specifically without using the Filter Gallery Option.

Another one that makes me want to kill is the shortcut change for Save As… I am not talking about the keyboard shortcut but the menu short cut. You used to do Save As… with Alt+F, then S, but now it is Alt+F, O. I hate this and I don’t think I will ever get used to it.

Absolutely nothing. But, it isn’t how I do it. I have done Alt+F then S since I started using Photoshop (Version 4). Now they decide to change it. It seems with every new version Adobe goes and does something completely ass-in-nine!

Well, I can agree with that.

However, since ctrl-s is the same thing for basically every Windows application, most Unix (& Linux) apps, transposed to the CMD key the same on the Mac, and unlikely to change within our lifetimes, I really think you’re doing yourself a disservice using something else.
