I let a friend us my system for some Photoshop work he was doing. Part of the program was "Gamma Correction" After I uninstalled it, everything played from Windows media player is extremely dark, requiring tweaking the brightness settings in How can I get my system back where it was before Photoshop was installed?
Thanks
Bill

It’s been a while since I un-installed Photoshop that doing a system restore would eliminate a lot of stuff I really need.
Thanks

Bill,

You can disable Adobe Gamma by typing msconfig in the Run box, then go to the Startup tab, scroll down and uncheck the Adobe Gamma box. This action will prevent AG being loaded at startup so you will lose the monitor calibration this provides when working in PS.
