Ok, Newbie here.

I have PS 8.0 and I have been trying to learn all the ins and outs of the tool for a few weeks now. I’ve been blasting through one tutorial after another and I’m starting to get a feel for the tool. That is, until today.

For some odd reason I have lost my renderer. Dang, that sounds lame. Simply put, no matter what I do my renderer option in my filter menu is grayed out (among others). I am at a loss to explain it any better than that.

Also, recently I saw a tutorial for creating chiseled text on a granite looking surface with a ghostly looking bare tree shadow crossing it. If any of you know of this tutorial and where I can find it again I would greatly appreciate you telling me.

Thanks!

Lonnie

I believe so. Like I said, I’ve been running through a lot of tutorials of late and I cannot say exactly what configuration I am currently in.

Is there any way to globally reset to default values?

I am feeling reeeeeaaaaaally stupid today…

RGB @ 16 bit? Should be 8 bit.

delete the preferences file (its in the program application file on your computer-and then restart PS. It will then load with the factory settings renewed to their default settings.
