Dear All,

I recently moved our samba workgroup to a samba domain, the server is the same, all shares are the same, i added the PCs to the domain, but left the users log in to their local accounts.

One of the PCs running Photoshop CS2 is freezing when working with files on the mapped drives, or somatimes event wont start.

I crawled all the adobe forums, and newgroups, and didn’t find any info about such an issue.

Before the domain move there were no problems at all.

I would be glad about any info.

Regards

PS should not be used over a network. This mode of operation is not recommended or supported by Adobe. If it has worked for you in the past you have been very fortunate. If you need to have PS files accessible on a network then the best way to ensure PS works correctly is to work locally, then send the finished file to wherever. Your problem could be down to bandwidth issues or PS could be looking for a network printer that is off line.

Hi Mike,

We’ve been using PS for 4 years with files on samba shares without problems, i will test the network printer he uses, maybe that causes the problem.

Next week we try to move all of the profile data to the domain userprofile, so we have a new profile, and see if that solves my problem.
