Sorry folks, I have to rant. I have disliked adobe help for a long time, and today was a classic example of why:
I’m fairly new to Illustrator, so I’ve been hacking my way through it. I got the "Wow" book for CS2 and it’s pretty good, but I couldn’t find out what "Exit Isolated Group" meant. I was just curious, because I tend to accidentally double-click on objects; whenever I do, I get the grey box around it and have to right-click and say ‘Exit Isolated Group’. So, I started digging. I looked in the Illustrator CS2 User Guide, then the Illustrator 10 User Guide, then the The Illustrator CS Wow book, then finally to the ‘Adobe Help Center’, where I *knew* I wouldn’t find it. In the help center, I did a search on ‘exit isolated group’, ‘exit isolated group’, etc. and not one **** thing was in the search results. I know, I’m a novice and should probably get training, but it isn’t in our budget so…
Thanks for listening….
