I have created an animated image starting with layers in Photoshop and then animating using ImageReady. I absolutely can’t find how to save the file, now, as an animated .GIF that I can place in GoLive. The only option I seem to have is to save as .HTML and .JPG images, or just .HTML, or just .JPG image.

Can somebody help me by giving me specific directions? Seems to me in CS all I did was do "save for web" in Photoshop, but now, in CS2, it only gives me above options.

I have comp due of website tomorrow AM and I’m stuck! Any help greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I haven’t really done this much, but here is one way to do this.

Create you layered image in ImageReady.
Select Window>Animation. In the Animation palette, set the delay for each frame.

Now, select File>Output Settings>Saving Files…

Select File>Save Optimized As…

Set Save as type: Images Only(*.gif)

Your file will be saved as an animated gif. If you open it in a Web browser, it will play.

Denise,

You need to select GIF in your optimize palette before saving
