Do you know if there is a way to "bend" or "warp" a photo in Photoshop 7? Thanks so much in advance.

try the 3-d plugin. You could also try the distort filters. I would also say liquify, but as im not sure if that was in version 7 or not I dont want to build your hopes up.

Depending on how much you want to bend or warp a photo, go to edit, transform, distort, then move the corners in or out the way you want. Also under filter, try distort, some work good, If that is what you need try a Google search for plug ins tht might work for you, some are free or maybe a free trial. Also try Adobe Exchange for some actions that might do it.

I tried the filters in Photoshop 7 and they distorted the photo but not what I was thinking of. I want the photo to look like its bent. By the way, what is the 3-d plugin? Where do I get that?

IIRC, I believe it is in the extras on your installation CD

Do you mean like this maybe? if so,it was done with auto-fx software, but liquify could be coaxed to something similar i think.

Yes, that’s what I am wanting to do. How do I get auto-fx software? Also, what kind of software is it? Exactly what is it used for? Is it easy to use?

You can google auto fx and find them on the web. they make various programs to tweak images. i got the edges program and that was one of the sets called transfers, because it mimics polaroid transfers. they have literally hundreds of edge effects in it, but trying to remember them all can be tedious. i just picked a few favorites and use them when i want that type of look on an image. it is a plugin ,so its easy to access.

I understand that it changes the edges of the photo but does it also give it that "bent" look in the middle? Thanks.

Something like this?

Just bending the surface without odd edge and image distortion????

Thats a nice effect. it depends what you are after. the program allows you to tweak the bend if you want, but it does take memory.

I’ve not used it, but you might want to consider Human Software’s Squizz ( < http://www.humansoftware.com/pages1200/Squizz/HSsquizz11.htm l> )

You might want to do a Google search on "Polaroid effect photoshop" and/or download this file: <http://home.earthlink.net/~sbelinkoff/polaroid_effect.pdf>

I’ll leave the file up for 48-hours or so.
