Isn’t there an option to suppress dialogs? I may be way off since I rarely batch photos…

And have you tried checking on the little box next "override Action "save As" Commands (since the problem occurs during the Save as portion of the Action…)

I did exactly that… I looked after and nothing had saved.

re:

Here are four possibilities to check:

1. There were no files in the source folder to begin with.

Corrective action: Populate it with files.

===========

2. Source option “Override Action ‘Open’ Commands” is checked, but the action does not contain an Open command or an Open command is present, but the checkbox to the left of the command in the action is unchecked.

Symptom: Check the errors file for messages for each file indicating a command (the first in the action) not being available.

Corrective action: Uncheck option “Override Action ‘Open’ Commands”

===========

3. Destination option “Override Action ‘Save as’ Commands” is checked, but the action does not contain either a Save or Save as… command.

What’s happening: Files are saved "nowhere."

Corrective action: Record a Save or Save as… command in the action.

===========

4. Destination option “Override Action ‘Save as’ Commands” is unchecked, but the action does in fact contain either a Save or Save as… command.

What’s happening: Files are saved in the folder recorded in the Save as… command, which is different from the folder specified in the Destination Choose dialog.

Corrective action: Turn on option “Override Action ‘Save as’ Commands”

I recorded a ‘save as’ command in my action (then unchecked it) and checked ‘override save as action’. There are files in the source folder.

Patrick,

At the risk of offending you, and I apologize in advance if I do, then there is something wrong with your procedure. I process thousands of images per day this way, every day of the week.

recorded a ‘save as’ command in my action (then unchecked it)

Unchecking it turns the step off – turn it back on. You need to toggle the dialog to off. It’s the box next to the checkmark in the actions palette.

Ohhhh… That’s where I screwed up. Thanks for all the help. When, there is no icon in the dialog box, does that mean it’s off?

That’s correct. No icon mean’s it’s toggled off.

Should work like a charm now.

Sorry if I confused you with the Phrase "uncheck the dialog-like button"

How should I have said that. Click on the "dialog-like button", to disable it?

I do not remember, is it really necessary to hide the dialog, once we have the "override save as "command?

Thanks for all the help. It can’t be completely your fault. I’m a little slow…haha

Yes. Otherwise you are prompted with a dialog box.
