Lightroom BETA!!! Not too bad considering that this is the first Windows release. Even with all the debug code probably still in place and no optimization yet, it stilll exports RAW to Tiff files from a 5D in about 4 seconds using an Intel 930 in an ECS board with 2 GB memory.

I’m guesstimating that cleaned up and running on a new Conroe processor we will be seeing under two seconds for 5D files in less than 6 months. I typically process about 300 5D images at a time so the speed is looking good for the future. A few items still not in place, such as a progress bar, but I’m sure it will show up later.
