My PC crashed on sunday and I had to reinstall windows xp. I didn’t lose any files or have to wipe my hard drive but I did have to do a full re-install of XP & now none of the programs that were installed before the crash show up in Add/Remove programs anymore.

Is there another way to get to the Repair/Modify/Uninstall feature besides getting there through Add/Remove programs?

that data is lost. you’ll need to reinstall to get them back in the list…

Dave’s right. But if I understand you correctly, you reinstalled Windows on top of itself. If that’s the case, I’d be tempted to backup all my data and blow the machine out and do a clean install.

It’s only going to add about an hour to the whole thing and will be well worth it.

So is it OK to just delete the file folder that contains cs2 & then reinstall it?

make sure you don’t have any of your working image files saved in there before you delete!

Since I really needed to use the program I installed a second version on my computer; then I figured I’d take a shot and copy the Photoshop.exe file from the new installation and paste it into the old one & now the old one is working fine & all of my filters and plugins are working too.

I’m still gonna wipe my hard drive and clean install everything when I finish this job I’ve been working on but thanks so much for all the suggestions!
