Have an open case and still waiting for a response 3 days on. That is after I got old waiting on the 800# and used you pay number to call. While paying for the call about 20 min., I got someone who said they would email a topic that was not my problem but might have some information. Not the warm body support I expected on a multi $100 product. CS2 package and web says limited phone support available still waiting.

Problem fixed
It took 3 calls, 2 emails and 4 days to get someone in support to drill into the problem. The email topic I never received and would have been of no use anyway. The problem was a corrupted text layer, one of many, which affected only spell checker but the layer was corrupt not the text. Clearing the text on the layer and retyping still had the error. The bug was that once check all layers is unchecked, you cant get it back without restarting CS2. The support tech on call 3 was very helpful and I got to support quickly.
