I have noticed several previous on this topic and have done all that has been said so far but with no success.

When I load Photoshop (v7.0.1) I get the message "Could not initialize Photoshop because the ICC profile is invalid" I have tried re-installing Photoshop, my graphics drivers. I have re-created a new monitor profile using Adobe Gamma and removed all of the other profiles. I have tried deleting the preferences file for Adobe and still get the same message.

I am getting rather annoyed with this now and have run out of ideas to fix it. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Kind Regards,
Anthony Williams

Anthony,
You might try resetting the preferences file to default values. Reset Photoshop Prefs ! <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?50@@.ef4a07f>

How? Have you tried selecting a completely different ICC-profile as your starting point and saving it under a different name than the name of the defective one? You could for instance start with sRGB or Adobe RGB(1998) but remember to save is under a new name. Don’t save it as sRGB or Adobe RGB(1998) again.
