A coworker of mine has 7.0 and has the same problem of selecting multiple layers with shift or control. I had 7.0 on my personal computer and could use this command. Is this a setting thing within the program? I know it is possible.

You are mistaken. You cannot select multiple layers in versions previous to CS2.

You can link layers and you can add to selections.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Ed’s right Jamie. Version 7 does NOT allow selection of multiple layers. It was introduced in CS2.
