I am trying to make an image in photoshop that includes the adding of a few Japanese characters. The problem is I don’t seem to be able to type them in. My computer had far east languages enabled and I am able to type in Japanese in other programs using the IME.
I have tried doing the edit-> prefs -> type thing to add the asian fonts but when i select them to type in they still show up in regular english.

Does anyone know how to fix this? thanks in advance.

If it’s only a few characters, how about typing them in Illustraotr, converting to outlines and copy/pasting in PS as a workaround.

What version of Photoshop are you using?
And what OS?
Are you using the Windows IME, or a third party IME?
