Hi guys

First of all I would like to say that I am a beginner to photoshop. Right now I am sitting at my job where I have to do an A4 paper in WORD with some info of our local community. It has to be in word (not inDesign i.e.) so the other employees can edit the file. So, what I want to do is to edit some pictures in photoshop that I can use as a header in the word file. Around 5 pictures (app. 4 x 4 cm) next to each other horizontally. My problem is resizing the pictures so that they still look proper in word. And also editing all the pictures in one file, so I can just copy them to the word file. Is it possible? And what do I have to have in mind when searching for pictures? How big should they be in order to be printed nicely when I resize them and move them to Word? I found out that saving as TIF helps when moving the picture to word.
I hope that I am not asking for too much and that I have explained properly what I need to do.

Thanks a lot…

First of all, don’t work on you originals.

Open one in Photoshop, do a "Save as.." and select TIFF. With "Image Size" set it to 4 x 4 cm at 200 pixels/inch.

Insert it in your Word file and repeat for the other pictures.

You may find that placing them in a table will help positioning.

If they don’t fit on the page, work out what size you do need and repeat the exercise. I wouldn’t resize them in Word, that will almost certainly lower the quality.
