Hi, I’ve spent hours looking for a solution.

I loaded PSE 4 on my Windows XP… when the download is complete, there are no PSE shortcuts on desktop… just a generic looking one which says PSE.
When I click on it, it "browses" and I get an error message… then it comes up with a "nearest match" file.(Which happens to be a Norton file).

I’ve removed the program and reloaded without the Norton ‘on’… so I don’t thinkthis is it.

Any suggestions? Thanks,

This is not the Elements forum. All I can suggest is to right-click on the generic icon and choose Properties and Change Icon. Navigate to the .exe file in Programs and see if you get a list of icons to choose from.
