Yeah, filters. I put it at 16 bit. Isn’t that higher quality? what is CMYK?
4-color, for offset press. it stands for cyan,magenta,yellow and black. 16 bit offers more room to play with your data,but i honestly am not sure if the benefits are the same as starting with a 16 bit file, verses converting up from 8bit. maybe cybernetic will lend some input on that.
An 8-bit RGB image is compatible with all filters. A 16-bit RGB image is compatible with only some filters. A CMYK image is compatible with even fewer filters.

Agreed. The only advantage I have found was when I knew I had to make a really drastic correction to a file I did not scan.
