In CS2 when I save for web the preview image is always much too large to preview until I select "fit on screen". Is there a reason why it opens so large and why it is not sticky at "fit on screen" next time I open save for web?

Beemer,

Do you mean the "save for the web-powered by Image Ready" preview window?.You select the zoom tool, right click and fit to screen? I think it comes in at 100% for "quality" reasons as this is the only magnification that you can realistically check your colours for accuracy. This preview will therefore be image (pixel) size dependant, as one image pixel will be one monitor pixel; (how big is your image?)try creating an image at 640 * 480 and 800 * 600 pixels and see how they open in the preview window.
