It won’t work: ‘CS Upgrade’ installation requires an original disk of an earlier version or, sometimes, its serial number. Similarly, individual (standalone) CS2 PS, Illustrator and InDesign Upgrades will not upgrade ‘CS Standard’ installation (with same three apps); I learned that the hard way when, after a year or two, I bought the three CS2 upgrades but forgot about the ‘Standard’ designation. (My dealer rescued me—pstt, don’t tell anybody—by ‘lending’ me his own individual CS disks and serial numbers.)

They should. At least those whose idea was to distinguish between (1) ‘Photoshop CS2,’ (2) ‘Photoshop CS2’ within CS2 Standard, and (3) ‘Photoshop CS2’ within CS2 Premium.
