Anyone know of the possibility of a CS3 right around the corner?

I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and go from Elements to the big boy. Waiting for the next technology is really never ending and therefore a game I don’t really want to play BUT I’ve already waited 2 years to decide on getting the full PS so if there IS a CS3 right around the corner, it would be foolish not to wait for another month or so. Anybody heard anything?

Those who know, won’t/can’t say.

The usual upgrade cycle is 18 months, which would be around November. Rumour has it, however, that the next release will be sometime in 2007.

If they do bring out a new version shortly after you purchase the current one, they will usually upgrade you free of charge. No idea what the cut-off point is though.

Not a rumor, Chris. This was announced by Bruce Chizen quite some time ago. It goes against past history but so does preannouncing features in upcoming releases which they’ve also done with InDesign.
