I’m curious if there has been any information released on:
1. A 64-bit port of Photoshop for Windows x64
2. Support for using multiple threads on multiple cores for transformations in Photoshop
For (1), I am talking about a true 64-bit port of Photoshop, which is compiled to x64 code and uses 64-bit data types where appropriate, not just a supported version of 32-bit Photoshop running under WoW on Windows.
Are these coming in Photoshop CS3. I’m not certain, but I don’t believe CS2 uses multiple threads for a single transformation, although I’m sure they have multiple threads running for other reasons.
Thanks.
