Hi,

After installing photoshop CS2 I also get Adobe Bridge installed automatically to my default programs folder which is "C:\Programmer" due to my danish windows XP.

With Bridge installed in a wrong directory (the right one should be "c:\program files" according to adobes homepage) I cannot launch the application without getting the error message: "Adobe Bridge cannot be used because of lisencing restrictions…"

The problem I need help to is therefore: how do I install photoshop cs2 to any folder on my harddrive (I have tried "c:\program files") and get Bridge installed to the folder "c:\program files"?

Looking forward to your help!

/Steven

Are you installing an English language version of CS2 to a Danish language version of Windows?

Are you installing an English language version of CS2 to a Danish language version of Windows?
Yes, have you experience with this?

I haven’t been able to find a danish version of CS2.

Danish versions of CS2 are available from the Adobe website.

I’ve just had a look on the forums site, where one contributor in particular is Danish (although he lives in Malmo, cheaper property he says;)) He recommends that users use the International English version of PS as there are more tutorials and manuals available in English than there are in Danish.
He doesn’t say if he is using an "English" version of Windows XP though. There was also a few Danish posters saying that they couldn’t use some of the keyboard shortcuts with their Danish keyboards either. They didn’t go into details though regarding their flavour of PS or XP. If you are using a "local" version of XP then I would be very surprised if the registry was not also in the local tongue. If so, your English copy of PS would have problems finding, modifying or inserting new keys, that would work, at installation time.
The cheapest option for you would be to get an Engish version of XP, IMO.

Yes, I think this also is the only way to solve the problem!

To all other danish windows XP users of photoshop cs2 – be aware of the problem! You might need to reinstall XP to get it to work – I will let you know when I have tried.

/Steven,

Can’t understand though why you are only seeing problems with Bridge with this installation, if it’s a "language" problem re folder locations/names etc., I would have thought it would have affected the whole program.

I found this http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331589.html it mentions a problem with Updater when using English PS with Danish XP (so it must be possible) it might help?

Regards and good luck
