recover psd files

I accidentally closed a window with a project I’ve been working on. Unfortunately I hadn’t saved it for a while. I know idiot me. But I was wondering if PS CS2 autosaves to a temp folder or something like that? Is there any way to recover this file?

I’d appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

Thanks anyway, I guess I’ll have to start over then. That’ll teach me to hit that dang ctrl-s a little more often.

You could also add a nifty utility such as AJC Backup to your system to guard against these irritations:

Sounds interesting. Does it use a lot of memory? I’m rather low on RAM as it is and it just takes about everything to run PS properly. I’m a little wary on things that run continuously in the background.

No.

Me too. What are you full system specs?
All I can suggest is that you download the Trial version and give it a go.

I really don’t know all that much about computer hardware. I have an Asus Notebook at home and a Mac at work. As far as I know, it’s not that easy/cheap to add RAM to a notebook?
It’s an Intel Pentium 1.86Ghz, 512 RAM, 120giga hard disk and an external hard disk with another 180giga.
