hi all!

am experiencing a weird problem: whenever i work on very large images (5000x5000pixels/360dpi) i get into serious trouble being able to select the ares/images properly. that is, the color selection works fine and the rolling-line around the contour looks alright, howver when i want to apply effects, photoshop produces weird results. for example kpt-gel – produces a box around the selection with the selection empty ( i already tried to invert the selection) – dreamsuite-effects do not do anything at all. can those problems result from to little color information? i mean, the images look somewhat faint (with smaller renderings of the same images i have no problem). what can i do??

i’ve got: winxp,1gigram,2.5athlon,120gig
