After unpgrading to CS2, I am interested in uninstalling PS 7.0. Is this safely possible? If so, how? Is it safe to uninstall 7.0 via "control panel-add or remove programs?"

Thank you.

Yes, the control panel is the way to do it. Say no to the option to remove shared files.

However, a lot of people keep 7.0 on their computer when they upgrade. If your activation crashes on a weekend, and you have trouble reinstalling you might want to have 7.0 as a backup tool.

(Of course, if you need the disk space, you will want to delete it.)

If you need the disk space that badly, it’s actually a better idea to buy a new drive. The amount of space you’ll buy with an uninstall is minimal and amount of space required for scratch files is way more than what you’ll reclaim by uninstalling 7.0.
