I have an image scanned into Photoshop Home Edition. I want to paste that image into a Power Point Presentation but have the background match the color scheme in PP. Right now I am getting a white square as the background of the image. I guess I want a transparant background. Any attempts have failed so far. I was able to do it using the Export as a Gif to the web, however the image and text came out distorted and unreadable. any tips will be appreciated.

I only seem to have one layer to the image. Any tips appreciated. The image is a line drawing with arrows and text pointing to various elements in the image.

Photoshop Home Edition?
The backgrounld layer does not support transparency. You either need to copy the layer and delete the what you want to be transparent or "demote" the background layer by double clicking on its name in the Layers palette and renaming. Try saving as a PNG with transparency.
