In Photoshop CS I use File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery to create a Web photo gallery of proofs from a photo shoot the client can take home with them for the purposes of choosing photos they want retouched. Recently Photoshop in executing its routine began rotating horizontally oriented photos! That is, photos for which the camera did not put a "rotate me" tag in the image file. In other words, Photoshop is rotating all files when it runs this routine!
Backgrounder: I photograph girls and young women talent for a hobby. (I’m a retired engineer.) The per session photo count can be from under 600 to over 1200. I’m using a Canon 5D and am outputting the highest resolution/quality JPEGs with Adobe RGB (1988) embedded. Image rotation is enabled. After the shooting is finished I create a Web photo gallery of all the shots for the talent and put them on a CD for them to use as proofs so they can choose the images then want me to retouch.
My computer details are listed below.
Any ideas? I’m really desperate to get things back to normal.
