Sorry if this seems off topic, but I really need some help. I need to create a family website with various pages; like Vacation05, FamilyReunion06, etc.

Got all my pics on my pc. Very large though, so I thought I’d make thumbnails for the web pages to keep down on download time for family members.

I’ve got a LOT of pictures.

I have an old copy of Photoshop, 5.5 I believe, and I’ve been grabbing each photo and resizing the image and saving it in the thumbnail subdirectory.

This is a long an drawn out process and I’ll eventually get done if I have to do it this way, but I’d sure like some auto resizing for all pics in the directory.

Is there some way to do this within Photoshop, or, if not, does anyone know of another application that could do this for me?

Thanks for your help.

Sounds good. Even looked good initially, but it’s all some alien gibberish to me. Like in Batch processing: I’m supposed to choose an action; Large Rectangle Button, Large Round Button, etc. etc.

Call me stupid, but what kind of "action" is Large Round Button ?? Souinds like a thing, not an action.

Maybe someone else would like to help out with more details.

Thanks for your help.

does
anyone know of another application that could do this for me?

I Prefer Quick N Easy! I use:
http://www.fotki.com/
I upload my originals into albums set them to private and give the family the addresses and passwords. fotki thumbnails, resizes, has a slide show and make the originals available in case my family wants to grab them and make prints. I am not associated in any way with them except to use their services.
