I need to apply a brush stroke to a path that has "fade" enabled. So basically so the stroke starts at the a START anchor point, then doesn’t continue all the way around the object back to the beginning (start point). But instead will stop half way or so depending on fade setting.

Is there a way to MOVE this start anhor point? So it can START the brush stroke on anothe anchor point. i.e. instead of starting at the lower left corner of a square, but upper right instead? I can achive this effect easily by rotating the object without any notice, but the paths i need to do this with are outlines created from type. So that won’t work with this. May just have to do this in illo…but haven’t checked yet if i can do this same thing there… I know in coreldraw you can reassign start/end points.
