Pardon if this is off topic …
I am looking for a new web host that can get me in for less that $29.95 per month paid quarterly that also has either Listserv or Majordomo.
Because I provide mailing lists (5-7 at any given time) for third party developers, I must have either/or. Mailman and the like just doesn’t work like Listserv or Majordomo and wreaks havoc with trying to run and maintain a proper mailing list with vacations, etc. We also require the lists have double opt-in so there is absolutely no spamming to the lists. Thus, I would also need to be able to block spammer IP’s from my domain and sub-domains as well.
I am not interested in all the fancy garbage like "unlimited bandwidth" that we all know is a farce. I use less than 5GB a month, under 100 megs of space, have a few sub-domain accounts I need to host like http://amiga.owlnet.net so this is also very important to me for the dev support issue.
Would be nice to have anonymous ftp downloads so devs could also offer a demo or such for download as well.
Would also consider a good reseller account as I do wish to get into the reseller business if I can find a nice, reliable firm before hand.
